Athletic Team Registration

Registration for the Spring Sport Season is now open!

Spring Registration is open now and will close Friday, March 15th

 

**ESPORTS ATHLETES MUST REGISTER BEFORE FEBRUARY 16th!!**

If your child has transferred from another school district to Andover High School and has not received a waiver from the MIAA, please email the Athletic Director at wayne.puglisi@andoverma.us to determine athletic eligibility.

 

You must complete the following 3 steps to participate in practices or tryouts:

 

Step 1: Online registration

Registration Information:

  • Your child may only register for one try out sport. If they are cut from this team, they can be transferred to one of our noncut sports until Friday, March 29th.
    • Noncut sports: Boys & Girls Outdoor Track and Unified Track
  • Student ID #’s can be found in Aspen.

Step 2: Submit Physical to AHS Nurses:

Please email or drop off an up to date physical to our school nurses.

Physical Information:

  • Your child will not be able to participate or tryout for sports with an expired Physical.
  • All Physicals are good for 13 months from the date of the well visit.
  • We accept physicals from CVS Minute Clinic and Convenient MD.

 

Step 3: Athletic Fee:

**You will only pay the Athletic User fee ONE TIME PER SCHOOL YEAR, PER ATHLETE**

 

              Athletic Fee Information:

  • Payments are due before the first day of tryouts/practice.
  • If you have an outstanding payment from the Fall your child will be held out of tryouts/practices until payment is made
    • If you need financial assistance, please contact the Athletic Department for more information.
  • This fee is paid once per school year, for each individual athlete with a family cap of $900.
  • Refunds will be given to any athlete cut from their try out sport.

 

There is a mandatory meeting for all student-athletes on Tuesday, March 12th at 6PM in the Dunn Gym at AHS. Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to attend. The meeting will be roughly an hour and will include information from the Athletic Department and AHS coaches. Teams will be assigned breakout areas for the coaches to meet with all attendees to review season expectations.

 

Tryout Schedules Tryouts begin for ALL sports on Monday, March 18th. Tryouts will be a minimum of 3 days and candidates should attend them all. There are no make-up dates for tryouts. More information regarding specific times and locations for each sport will be given out by Coaches as soon as possible.
